Why is WWE doing this to the Divas?

Last week, the 'bikini match.' This week, the 'legs match.' What's next week? A 'lingerie match'? The Diva's Division has proven they can be taken seriously. The segment between Mickie James and Maryse tonight was a good example. Mickie is great on the mic and it was refreshing to see a Diva actually get a chance to speak.

WWE doesn't KNOW how to handle the divas division and they were doing alright for a while, but eventually they turned back to using divas for eye candy instead of actual wrestling performances. The divas division gets hardly any mic time and the titles are hardly defended. WWE doesn't have the best divas division, but their divas are still talented and they have some amazing wrestlers in the division. We have divas like Mickie James, Melina, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea, Jillian, Maryse, Natalya, and Michelle McCool who is improving in the ring. We can see great matches between all of them and they won't be as repetitive because all those divas are talented and versatile in their matches.

I'm disappointed with what WWE is doing with the divas because i thought they were going in the right direction for a while because we were actually seeing divas for wrestling and not for some bikini contest or something like that. WWE doesn't treat their divas right and this doesn't make sense at all. This just solidifies the fact that WWE doesn't care about wrestling and all they care about is entertainment and ratings. Vince McMahon is just a horny old man who loves to see divas strip everywhere. The "Legs" match was pointless and just plain ridiculous, but I'm glad Kelly Kelly didn't win though because its bad enough that WWE makes these matches and letting a diva who practically has no talent winning doesn't seem right to me. I have no clue what WWE is doing and i agree that ever since the celebrity thing, we have just seen divas participating in these awkward matches. At least Smackdown still treats their divas with respect and use them for wrestling matches.

Mickie James has great mic skills and she showcased her ability on the mic yesterday. Mickie James is actually one of the divas who's very over with the crowd and she seems to be popular. The crowd did seem more pleased with Mickie James talking on the mic instead of seeing talentless divas like Kelly Kelly and Rosa Mendez wrestle. However the segment did turn out to be pretty ridiculous because Miz just came out and talked about how "hot" Maryse is and Maryse just sprayed Mickie James. However i agree with you on the fact that divas need more TV time because we actually need to see some proper promos and buildup for the titles. It's always the same thing with divas competing in tag team matches and just assaulting each other. WWE needs to give divas proper time to buildup their feuds.

I feel bad for Gail Kim as well because she is an amazing diva who is the most well rounded in my opinion. Gail Kim is a great mat wrestler and a great high flier which is unique among most divas in my opinion. Gail Kim was THE top knockout of TNA and she was treated with respect there with the crowd going crazy for her every time she made her entrance and she was the one who carried the knockouts division for a while. Gail Kim is now being used for eye candy purposes instead of being used for wrestling matches. I'm rather disgusted that Gail Kim is being in these matches when she's so used to just plain out wrestling.

WWE has no respect for the divas division and they have shown that time and time again. What has the WWE done for the divas and they haven't treated anyone with respect. To WWE its all about the looks and being the eye candy to attract the audience. They made Jillian get plastic surgery and change how she looked and they released Candice Michelle partly for the reason that she was getting weight. They also told Rosa Mendez to lose some weight before she wrestles in the ring. It seems like all the divas in WWE are practically sticks and used for these bikini matches. WWE hardly even cares about the woman's and divas championship because both titles are hardly defended and like i said before, there isn't ANY proper buildup except the usual tag team matches. At wrestlemania 25 where the divas competed for the title Miss. Wrestlemania, but instead if a proper diva winning it was Santino who won. A man won the battle royal when a proper diva deserved it. WWE is just using these divas for eye candy and doesn't realize that WWE can focus on both. There are divas in WWE who are both good looking and great in wrestling. WWE needs to showcase more wrestling for the divas and get rid of these ridiculous match ups. WWE just needs to treat divas with respect.

BQ: I'm excited because i don't know what's going to happen next and how he's going to shake up Raw. I hope he makes Raw entertaining and worthwhile to watch.
